Alright! A place to keep my stuff... My P90X stuff!
I'll take a moment to introduce myself. 43years old and generally out of shape. I have a smokin' profile that looks like I'm in my third tri-mester. I've been fortunate though. I was very active growing up playing variety of sports. It seems I've had a higher than normal metabolism either resulting from that active background or from heredity. Whatever the case may be, I could put down some serious chow (like maybe a pizza - yeah, the whole eight slices by myself) and not gain an ounce. But little by little it all catches up.
I'm confident I can get that back, and it will be easier to accomplish that goal it knowing I have friends here by my side, as they too regain their former glory.
I have a multiple front battle ahead that will begin very soon now that I have my P90X. One is quitting smoking. The other is P90X. I'm pretty sure one will assist in conquering the other.
I'll post some before pics soon.

I'm sure a come summer there will be a nice warm day when nothing other than a frosty beer will do...
Day one. Pace yourself!! I knew I was out of shape, now I can FEEL just how out of shape I really am. But, I will not be deterred. While the workout crew is doing 25 pushups, I am struggling to complete 5 in the same time frame (going slow and concentrating on form). And that's OK. I will not be distracted by where I am now. I will stay focused on where I am going to be. (right along side Ex's avatar Kitten going pushup for pushup). While I could not keep up with the pull-ups either, I did what I could and supplemented a few curls or other upper body exertion to keep moving, rather than just sit there, watching the video. Ab Ripper. I kept up fine on a few of the routines, but the one where you have your feet to the ceiling and you magically defy gravity with your hips... Apparently the muscle that makes that possible does not exist in my genetic pedigree. I may have to repeat the first 30-day cycle before moving on the the 2nd. I’ll see how I feel at day 29. Keep up the effort, all!

You wont have to repeat it, stay with the routine you will be where you need to be at the end of the first 28 days, it really is amazing how fast the program work if you stick to it.
Glad to see your officialy pushing play!

Dragon, don't let the subtle annoyances such as your cigarette ash falling in to your eye while your doing leg lift get the best of you...LOL Glad to see getting into shape for this summer, now to just get Missy on the stick with ya. Strike that last...commander...LOL

The sweat usually douses it before any real damage.
Day three was good. Arms and shoulders. I only did 5lbs per hand and focused on form doing extra reps. Next time around I'll dial in the right resistance.
Day two was Plyo and it wreaked some havoc, even though I only did 15 min of it due to technical difficulties with my dvd. Not from any injury, I was groaning each time I had to sit down or stand up from my desk at work. Especially from deep soreness at the front of the hips in the groin and thigh area. But I'm not complaining, I'm building up to something. Prior to my day 3 workout I took the Advanced Whey Protein with Creatine/Glutamine about an hour before I started. I did the shoulders arms and a plain milk recovery drink. About 4 hours after the pre-drink I got up from my desk (at home) and the soreness was greatly diminished (nearly gone) in my hip fronts. Especially where I was sore the most. I'm still a bit sore in the thighs, though not as bad. I did not work my arms and shoulders too hard and there is no reason for the front of my hips to feel better given the state they were in. Now, I did not see an image of the Virgin Mary in the powder mix and I'm not hyping this up as some miracle fix to all my soreness, but a major kudos to the Advanced Whey Protein mix for truely proving itself dynamically. My workout was mild but increased blood flow nonetheless. I would have to surmise that it takes roughly 4 to 6 hours for the ingredients to get into the muscle tissue depending on exertion. I'll use that timing and take it as a pre-drink so it will be peaking when I start.
Yoga today. Good stretching with static and dynamic exertion. Not much to report on that other than what you already know... it is not easy!
