Supplements are just that, supplements to a healthy diet, they will not work in place of nutritious eating, you won't find serious athletes and bodybuilders dinning at Mcheartattack in a sack then taking the supplements hoping they will help. They only work to enhance a good meal plan.

I ventured into the gates of hell today, (Wal-Mart). Once I found someone who could speak English (or at least understood it enough to gesture me in the right general direction)... I got some clif bars. I've had them before, they are tasty enough. Though a bit gritty if I really had to find something to gripe about. Out of curiosity, I was looking at the Creatine... up until the part where I read FD&C Red Dye #40 and moved on to look at the "Super Advanced Whey Protein" by Body Fortress. Even though the last ingredient ‘Sucralose’ saddened me at least it was the last ingredient. Hey, I may not be the most conscientious eater, but I draw the line somewhere and I almost drew it (I pray Melissa won't shun me ). Since it is chocolate, I'll be mixing it with Moo-Juice (milk) to make my recovery drink, but after its empty I'll be supplementing my Glutamine and Creatine with foods that are richer in them. Likes me spinach-k! ;D (Funny thing though... the package says: "Same 2LB Size!" "NEW Smaller Echo-Friendly Package to Help Save Our Planet", yet when you peel the protective seal back, the stuff is 1/3 of the way from the top! I guess they didn't want to shrink it too much and dispel the illusion of "getting more") Anyway... I got the Golds Gym circuit training system. Comes with a doorframe pull-up bar, hanger straps for suspended ab workouts, and two of those rotating push-up paddles (for sissies like me who don't like his wrists wrenched-back during pushups, and who doesn't have a cushy foam mat to protect his delicate knuckles when doing them on his fists). Not bad for the $48 price.

Yea I got a set of the "perfect push-up handles" used them for about a month then went to doing them normal as my wrist got stonger.
I agree that you can do most everything naturaly, but not creatine, their is no way that I can see to get it naturaly in the recomended dose. You need 3 to 5 lbs of red meat per day to get just 5 grams..I'm not that hungery, lol.

Hey, I may not be the most conscientious eater, but I draw the line somewhere and I almost drew it (I pray Melissa won't shun me ). You're gonna have everyone thinking I'm the Nutrition Nazi or something! All I want is for ya'll to eat real food during P90X.

You are far from being a Nutrition Nazi. Heck, you're not even Vegan. But even if you were, you would be [glow=red,2,300] my[/glow] Nutrition Nazi. In which case, I have been very, very, naughty. I have betrayed you by consuming an artificial sweetener. I need to be diciplined! You must dicipline me now!! P90XXX Now there's a work-out! I agree on the side of beef, Hippie. Another reason chocolate milk is a good recovery drink is that the milk has creatine in it. I found a really good site that seems to be neutral and no BS about this kind of stuff. I was looking up phosphates to see if they would assist the creatine and stumbled upon it. www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginformation.html"Milk does a body good!" It has phosphates on top of the creatine. All natural sports recovery drink... go figure.

For protein, I've been taking Pure Nutrition whey Isolate or Pure WPI www.bodybuilding.com/store/pnut/whey.html www.physicaladdictions.com/Pure-WPI-Isolate-Whey-2-Pounds-P523C134.aspxI add Glutamine to my morning shake and evening shake. Right now I use the P90X creatine mix, but will be switching to straight Creatine with grape juice once it's gone. I take creatine before my workouts on resistance days, but not cardio or stretch days. Then I take daily vitamins, pro-biotic, fish oil, and glucosamine condroitine (sp?) b/c I have issues with my joints. For recovery, I love the p90x formula. Since it's expensive though, I use chocolate milk for cardio days and recovery formula for Resistance only. THANKS GREG!

I don't have a problem with reasonable use of supps...12 vitamine pills and a half dozen blended powders a day are for people that can't really manage good eating habits.
