Alot of people ask me "Where do I start?" Either they never were in shape or they need to get back into shape. Well here you go..
1) People say it is to expencieve to eat healty. Bullshit! If you really tried it you would find out its cheaper then a steady diet of fast food. I have a family of 3 and we spent about $125 a week.
Products are on sale evey time you go to the store if you see a food you like on sale by a couple extras to hold you over till they go on sale again. One of the best things you can it are veggies and they are among the cheapest foods in the store, if you can't buy fresh buy frozen or canned. Usually either skinless chicken, beef or pork (lean) is on sale, pick the one that is. Don't by fresh fruit that is out of season its to expensive.
Nutirtion is 80% of getting into shape.
2) "I can't afford to go to the gym." Good! Its a waste of money right off the bat anyway. Start at home create a routine and stick to it.
"I can't afford all the equipment I need" Really, what the hell do you think you need?
Treadmill/Exercise Bike ($200/$1000) = Jump Rope ($10)
Set of Dumbells ($200/$500) = Resistance Bands ($15)
Pull Up Bar ($30) or do Lat Pull Downs with your bands(free)
Exercise/Yoga Mat ($10 to $20)
P90X $140
Wow, $185 worth of gear to get into shape at home.
I hope you see my point, don't make money the reason for sitting on the couch.
If you have little more to spend buy a used set of weights at a yard sale, who cares if they are a little rusty, your body can't tell they arnt shinny and new. Pick up a used exercise bike from the Salvation Army or other thrift store for $30.
You can get into shape on a budget!
