Congrats on getting started.... I don't think I could have handled having to wait a 2nd week to start p90x myself... I was already as excited as a kid on christmas morning as it was....

Okay, I tried to eat all that food yesterday but fell a little short. I ate everything on my spark page but about 16 oz of chicken and 1 0z of the tuna, but I wasnt hungry, and I had more energy then ive had in a long time! Im not sure if the energy was the food, the workout, or the creatine, but I did feel a crash at about 11pm and still had 3 hours of work left. So now day two, im so sore! Time for cardio before I completely wake up.

Thats a lot of proteins to miss... What level are you on? I am on level III and use a double scoop protein powder to get 2 helpings in... I thought it was going to be hard to get my 9 servings of protein a day in but I have found it to be really easy actually... It'll just take some time for you to figure out what works best for you

Yea protein is VERY importaant earlie on, your body will not want to let go of the fat, it will do what ever it has to including eating your muscle to avoid eating that fat reserve. The workouts and the protein are the protection from this, if you missed say 4 servings of protein in a day that would be bad, have another protein shake or bar to help out...

Well guys Im going to have to bow out for a bit... Yeah only three days in. I threw my back out at work tonight, you would think I would have done it during P90X but I didnt. I do have 4 herniated discs that I didnt mention before. This sucks, even though the workouts were making me sore as shit, my back seemed to be doing great. Is there anything I can do with my diet to drop weight, while I heal up??

Sorry to hear about your back, I have only one herniated disk and I agree my back actually feels better right now.... I would say just getting on a proper diet with a lower caloric intake and avoiding the junk food and bad carbs just as phase 3 pf this diet says would be a good step for losing a few pounds...

Try to stay around 2000-2200 calories and keep the fat and carbs low, can you walk? If so do a good power walk at some point in the day, 15 to 20 minutes brisk as you can. Because of your activity and high protein intake you may heal up quicker then you think.
Keep us informed and don't give up, its just a small bump in the road....

Well he looked at my MRI results again and said I could go get Steroid shots, but that will just mask the pain and not fix anything, he said I need to go see a neurologist or neurosurgeon and talk to them... Im still convinced if I drop this weight I will be better off. My back is starting to feel alot better. Its not constant pain anymore. I may just try P90X again once I feel ok and see if we can fix this one ourselves. Im starting to doubt Dr.s
