Welcome to the board..... I believe my week of waiting for the program has been the longest week of my life.... My suggestion is to fill yourself with knowledge this week, as Hippie has plenty of it, and get as many questions answered as you can before you start.... I have spent HOURS researching this program and diet tips so that come Monday I'm ready....

I was addicted to caffine (Mt. Dew) for 30 years, when I started P90X I allowed myself 1 a day, it was figured right into my meal plan breakdown, after the first phase (28 days) I took it out and have nevr looked back its been nearly 5 months and no Dew! You truley learn the right way to eat and when you go south for the vacation you won't miss any of it....there isnt really anything you cant have you just have it in moderation. The first 30 days are tough because your limited to 30% carbs, next 30 days you get 40%, by phase three you are at 60% carbs and you metabolism is on track and will devour most anything you put in your mouth, with in reason...

Did you come out in Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 of the nutrition plan? Also what is your target weight? Realisticly....Losing 30 lbs in the first 90 days is a good goal....thats around 2.3 lbs a week. This is the most important part of what we do, 80% of your results will be based on this. **************************************************** Ok, I ran some fighures here.... Based on your current weight of 242... Lets aim for 30 lbs, we can adjust as you get going and we start to see what kind of results you have... So base weight of 212 lbs x 10% = RMR of 2112 calories a day. 2112 x 20% to get your Daily Activity Burn = 420 Plus 600 calorie burn from P90X = a total of 3,132 I know that seems like alot so lets dial it in..... First, 2112 is the calories a 212 pound man would have to have to sit in a chair and maintain that weight with no movement, we know that nuber is accurate. SecondDaily Activity Burn is the average of a "Normal" persons burn on any given day from normal movement and activity. Work, playing with the dog, or the wife hehehe....things like that. A very active person at 212 pounds say janitor or a job that requires alot of movement will burn more then a computer programer.... If your not very active in a normal day we can lower that number. ThirdOdds of you burning 600 calories a day in the first 60 days of P90X are slim so we can lower that as well.... So..Lets say you use 250 calories in the activity burn and 300 in P90x. add those to the 2112 calories and you get your answer 2112 + 500 = 2612 calories a day. TaaDaa! *************************************************** Ok, Back from Dinner.... So lets say 2600 calories a day to start, you break down would look like this, 30/50/20-carbs/protein/fatSo here you are.... 780 calories a day in Carbs = 195 grams 1300 calories a day in Protein = 325 grams 520 calories a day in fat = 57 grams Thats your goals for the first 28 days!
